On a Mission Monday – The Suburban Jungle is having a contest to give away a gift basket from ConAgra Foods
- - The gift Basket will include ConAgra Foods grocery coupons, a branded reusable grocery bag, “Desperate Housewives” on DVD, and other great items. I will choose the winner using a random drawing site, so everyone is equally elligable!
To sign up for The Suburban Jungle contest, simply let me know what you’ve done or are doing to Fight Child Hunger, whether it’s a donation, volunteering, bringing food to a food bank, or doing a rally… whatever you do (big or small) makes you eligible to enter.
I gotta share this with you too, cause it’s really cool. As part of my involvement in the Child Hunger Ends Here Campaign, I’m going to Hollywood. Ugh, Simon definitely says it better. Next week, the 14 bloggers on this campaign will be strolling the sidewalks of Wisteria Lane, which is oddly appropriate for a desperate housewife like me, as part of a media event to bring awareness to the campaign. We will also be visiting an LA food bank to provide food to hungry children! I’ll be taking pics and video to keep you all posted on the event.

Awesome contest. Everyone should be doing their bit to help child hunger. We donate regularly to our local food bank, in fact we just participated in a food drive with the Girl Guides in our area.
Hey Jenny!
I love reading your blog. Just wanted to get in on the action here. A friend got me started on a cool tradition – at birthday parties, we now ask for canned food donations in lieu of gifts, and then we take it to the local food bank. It keeps down on the (useless, easily broken) toys in the house and teaches my kids to be generous.
Jenny, I have been reading your blog for awhile now and I have to say that I love it! I try to be as witty as you, but it never works out that way!
This is a great way to get the word out about child hunger issues! I am a leader for my daughters girl scout troop and before Thanksgiving we have a huge food drive and the girls donated over 100 bags of groceries to our local food bank!
Oh what a wonderful person you are. Great things you have going on here.
Kinda makes the food I donate to food banks seem a little pathetic. Gee thanks. Kidding!! Thanks for the chance to win.
I love the stuff you all do! I too bring food to a food bank on a regular basis. Jenny, I love the BLOG!
Thanks guys, you’ve been added to the contest. Thanks for all you do and thanks for reading.
