have just gotten around to reading your blog. i love it, and this buddy story brought tears to my eyes. the ‘acrobat dog,’ as matthew and i have always referred to him. we have never met a dog who can poop while standing on only two feet.

Being the only sober person at your halloween party (didn’t know that food poisoning was approaching from the afternoon’s lunch) I nearly jumped in your pool twice after Buddy! You forgot to mention the risks of walking blindly around the pool! I LOVE BUDDY! You done good!

Being the roommate that used the blow-pop stick, branches or anything else that could be found to wind up the never ending gum that was stretching with each step Buddy took trying to desperately get the hell away from me—i must say i laughed and cried reading this! ah–the memories! i loved it and i think it conveys how most of us feel about our “first born” and their unconditional love!

I had several dogs growing up and had to work very hard to convince my husband to get a dog for me and for my kids! Jeff never had pets ( odd,right?) and he never really got the human/canine relationship until we finally got our dog. Milo is amazing and a very important member of our family! Reading this made me feel a little sad!Happy for all of your memories but sad that you have to worry about such things! I can not imagine not having Milo in our family! I just want to go and hang out with my dog now! great writing! Once again I really enjoyed it! Big Fan!
